Household Income

The household income indicator represents the median value of annual income for census families in the Edmonton census metropolitan area (CMA). Positive growth in this indicator may suggest an improvement in a census family’s ability to purchase goods and services, provided the rate of growth is above consumer inflation. Negative growth may suggest a deterioration.
In 2022, median total income for all families in the Edmonton CMA was $111,110, a 2.5 per cent increase from the previous year. In Canada, median total income grew 3.5 per cent to $101,840 over the same time period.
